‘Remember when wood fired coffee beans are gently roasted in a purpose built wood roaster using a combination of premium Australian hardwoods. The natural heat realised from the aged wood has a low moisture content, resulting in beans that are less acidic and bitter. This traditional roasting method produces a delicate, full bodied coffee with enhanced flavour.’

Our purpose built wood roaster allows for a controlled temperature where we can roast low and slow, bringing out all the natural flavours of our beans. Wood roasting requires about 30 minutes more at a lower temperature unlike conventional gas roasting where high speeds and shorter roasting times are required. This labour intensive method ensures our premium beans are exposed to their maximum flavour and full potential. As well as a delicious full bodied flavour, our gently caramelised beans also give unique hints of orange zest and coca which are complimented by notes of dark chocolate and maple syrup.
